Greetings from Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev to Foreign Ministry employees and veterans, February 10, 2018

Colleagues,

Friends,

I would like to sincerely greet you on the occasion of your professional holiday, Diplomats’ Day.

Russia’s foreign policy department has been working efficiently on a highly responsible mission to protect national interests, expand multifaceted cooperation with our foreign partners and create successful international conditions for the dynamic progress of our country.

One of the key areas in your work is the strengthening of the Eurasian Economic Union. We must continue to coordinate our efforts towards fully using the potential of Eurasian integration and its harmonious alignment with other regional associations and initiatives.

Diplomatic assistance to our foreign economic efforts is extremely important, including the support to Russian companies and assistance to attracting foreign investment.

Our traditional priorities include the protection of the rights of compatriots abroad, encouraging people to learn the Russian language, as well as the introduction of international audiences to Russian culture.

I am convinced that the employees of the Foreign Ministry, together with its diplomatic and consular offices, will continue working efficiently and closely together to make a major contribution to strengthening Russia’s international standing.

I wholeheartedly wish all of you good health, prosperity and the very best when it comes to all your new achievements for the sake of the homeland.
